The DAAD SBW Berlin Scholarship is currently open for applications, providing a fully funded opportunity for international students to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in Germany. The program supports tuition fees, accommodation, and living expenses for selected applicants in Berlin or Potsdam.
In some cases, the scholarship also funds vocational training programs in Germany. This initiative is ideal for students with a record of social engagement and a strong commitment to contributing to their home countries post-graduation.
Funded by the SBW Berlin and supported through DAAD’s network, the scholarship aims to empower socially committed individuals by connecting them to professional networks and career resources. IELTS is not a requirement for this application.

Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the DAAD SBW Berlin Scholarship, applicants must:

Be aged between 18 and 30 years

Demonstrate prior engagement in nonprofit or volunteer work

Commit to returning to their home country for at least 18 months post-graduation

Show proof of low household income
-
Have no immediate family permanently residing in Germany

Not have resided in Germany for more than 18 months prior to application

Hold grades equivalent to a minimum German GPA of 2.0

Be applying before university enrollment or enrolled in the first, second, or third semester (bachelor’s or master’s)

How to Apply:
The application process is conducted in two phases:
