Applications are now open for the 2025 McGill University Graduate Scholarship in Canada. This fully funded scholarship provides international students with financial support for postgraduate studies, including complete tuition coverage and a generous annual living stipend.

Selected candidates will also have the opportunity to serve as Graduate Teaching or Research Assistants for the duration of their master’s or PhD program. Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the McGill University Graduate Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field

  • Have a strong foundation in mathematics, including linear algebra, differential equations, probability, and statistics

  • Possess knowledge in power systems, such as system operation, stability, and optimization

  • Be proficient in tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, Python, DSATools, PSS/E, RT-LAB, or PSCAD

  • Demonstrate prior research experience (e.g., publications or thesis work), which is considered an advantage

Applicants must also submit:

  • A completed application form

  • Proof of English language proficiency (test scores or certificate)

  • Academic transcripts

  • Two or more letters of recommendation

  • A well-written Statement of Purpose

  • An updated academic CV
