Chris Brown Charged Over London Nightclub Attack

R&B star Chris Brown has been formally charged with grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent following an alleged assault at a central London nightclub in February 2023, the Metropolitan Police confirmed.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on 19 February 2023, and led to the 36-year-old singer's arrest in the early hours of Thursday at a Manchester hotel. Brown remains in police custody and is scheduled to appear before Manchester Magistrates' Court on Friday.
“We have authorised the Metropolitan Police to charge Chris Brown with one count of grievous bodily harm, contrary to section 18 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861,” stated Adele Kelly, Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor for CPS London North. She added that criminal proceedings are now active and emphasized Brown’s right to a fair trial.
Reports from The Sun indicate that the Grammy-winning artist arrived in the UK via private jet, landing at Manchester Airport on Wednesday afternoon.
Brown is currently on tour and expected to perform at multiple venues across the UK in the coming months, with shows lined up through June and July.
This marks the latest legal challenge for the American performer, whose career has often been punctuated by controversy despite sustained commercial success.
